CHILDREN'S
MATINEE &
INSTRUMENT
PETTING ZOO
A Benefit
Concert for the
musical
education of
children on the
Mendocino
Coast.
In this
season's
concert for
children (of
all ages) the
Festival
Orchestra,
under the baton
of Allan
Pollack,
presented
selections from
Igor
Stravinsky's
Firebird
Suite,
which was
performed on
Friday, July 14
during the
second
orchestra
concert.
After the
performance the
children were
invited to our
"Instrument
Petting Zoo"
where they met
some of the
orchestra
musicians, and
got to handle
some of the
musical
instruments.
A heart
felt thank you
to the
Mendocino
Rotary Club for
the generous
contribution to
the Children's
Matinee and the
ongoing
commitment to
the youth of
our
community.
All
ticket revenue
from this
performance
directly
benefits the
music programs
of the Fort
Bragg and
Mendocino
Unified School
Districts.
